Love the location, friendly staff and easy parking! Checkout at noon is super helpful! Appreciate the coffee in the room and cleanliness. Could use some updating, but truly a gem for Monterey in a wonderful location, easily walkable to everything on Cannary row, hikes, Pacific Grove, Lovers Point, restaurants and shopping. Great place to Zen out for an affordable price.

We only were here for one night during our road trip along the coast. Carol the front lady was really nice and sweet. Check out is at noon, but you can leave your car here til 3pm if you want to walk around. The room is clean and basics.

It’s a nice place to stay in Monterey. Location is great, just a couple of blocks to the seafront and The Cannery. Our room (409) was spacious, comfortable and well appointed, but the AC was very noisy and intermittent. I liked that we had a window (which opened) in the bathroom, with views up the hill to pretty houses and gardens… with our bedroom views being down to the sea. We were lucky as not all rooms had good views. There is a nice decking area to hang out, with fire pits which are lit each evening, and you can take your own drinks and snacks should you wish which is especially nice for families. Be aware of the guest amenity charge - you don’t really get anything extra for this. We were given a little bag of snacks (chips/granola bar type stuff) when we checked in and there was a good coffee machine in the room, but no tea! Reception closed overnight and the overall feel was more of a posh motel, than a typical hotel (that would have had more facilities) so to that end there is good onsite parking (albeit $17/night). Great for 17-mile drive, bars, restaurants etc plus the cannery shuttle bus service is good for trips to Fisherman’s Wharf (where we saw some seals swimming and hanging about!)
