When we looked to reserve our usual spot at the Otter Inn then found out that they have changed names. As we arrived to the inn we seen a great facelift. The staff as always very accommodating even when it came to parking. Checking in to the room and seen the contemporary decor which had a great layout. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom I loved the fixtures. The best part was the inn still was reasonably priced. Out of the whole experience the worse part was the upstairs neighbors kids running around and being loud. We have kids also which we keep under control because we don't want to ruin someone's else's experience at the inn. Thanks again for a great time.

Perfect hotel for our pacific coast vacation. Immaculate, amazing customer service, close to waterfront and restaurants, total California feel. We researched many hotels in the area and decided to like "gamble" on a non-chain. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure.

Great place! Our room was very quiet. Front desk was very welcoming. Comfortable beds! Easy to walk to lots of activities and restaurants.

My girlfriend and I spent one night at the hotel on our trip down the Pacific Coast Highway but would've happily stayed there longer. The hotel rooms have been refurbished recently and are really clean, bright and spacious. We were lucky enough to have a sea view which was a nice touch. The reception staff were such nice people and happy to help with anything. Even though there's no breakfast available they provide you with a complimentary welcome bag with some pastries in. Just a two minute walk from the beach and restaurants it is ideally located and the car parking fee was cheaper than most hotels we stayed in on our trip. Highly recommend to anyone staying over night in Monterey.

we stayed at the wave street in for 1 night. The staff are AMAZING super nice and provided a HIGH level of service. The beds were absolutely comfortable.

We reserved our room online and took a chance that it was as good as advertised. When we pulled up we thought it looked a little dated. That was the worst part of our stay. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely kind and knowledgeable of the area. Our room had been newly renovated and was quite nice and comfortable. Parking was only $15 a day (50 a day in San Francisco) and under cover in a parking garage with nice size parking spaces. It was very convenient to Cannery Row and many restaurants and shops. While they didn't serve breakfast, there's a wonderful breakfast restaurant directly across the street with very good food reasonably priced. We had to cut our stay short by a day because of an impending hurricane (Irma) and they kindly canceled one night and never made use feel as though they were doing us a favor. They wished us safe travels and hoped we would do well during the storm. We will definitely stay here again and book for 3 or 4 nights to be able to enjoy more of the area.

The staff was amazing the view was awesome my wife and I will totally stay there again. We told our friends and family about this place and it looks like they will be staying at The Wave.

Newly renovated hotel in the center of town close to all the restaurants and bars. Hotel was very nice and cozy, staff greeted us very well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Parking is available for 15$ per night as well.

We were looking for a hotel near cannery row where we could park and just walk where ever we wanted! This is the place! We absolutely loved this hotel! The location was PERFECT and was such a nice place to stay! We were already talking of coming back before we ever left,,,so yes we would definitely book here again. From the wonderful front desk clerks to the comfy beds it was one of the if not the best hotel we have stayed at i a long long time! We even had a partial ocean view from our room. Don think about it,,,BOOK...you wont regret it!

My wife and I were very pleased with Wave Street Inn. It is absolutely as advertised, recently remodeled, and our room looked exactly as it did in their pictures. The bed was very, very nice, for us one of the most important aspect of any hotel. The bathroom is modern and one of few places we’ve ever stayed that supplies a stand alone makeup mirror, the back side of which I can use to check my hair on back of my head. This may seem like a mundane point but it is one of my pet peeves. Very importantly, our room was very clean, which is very important to my wife so she was pleased. The location is fantastic. It is about two blocks from the Monterey Aquarium and there are restaurants everywhere around this hotel. The Intercontinental Hotel is about a block away and it costs 3-4 times to stay there, Wave Street Inn is an absolute bargain! I would recommend it to anyone.
