This hotel is newly refurbished and they have spared no costs or cut any corners. The attention to detail in both the bedrooms and communal spaces is exceptional. Don’t book anywhere until you have checked here. As a convenience point, the rooms are equipped with plug sockets with ample USB ports, this is great as we are from the UK ladies the hairdryer is one of the best I’ve had in my tour of California. The hotel is a stone throw from the bay and so close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. WiFi is superb.

We have stayed multiple times with this hotel. The recent upgrades to the rooms and outside are awesome. I liked the name change from The Otter Inn to the The Wave Inn. Staff here is very friendly and helpful. The location is close to Cannery Row and other attractions. We walked from our hotel to dinner which was only a few blocks away. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay and with the recent forecast of rain did not disappoint at all. I recommend The Wave Inn for a nice visit to Monterey.

What a great deal this place was. More importantly, super clean, newly renovated (shower was amazing), and staff was lovely. Close to all the fun sites (Cannery Row, Aquarium). Nice cafe right across the street.

We originally knew this property as the Otter Inn. We never could get a room, so we were surprised when we could after finding our first choice was under going a renovation. We really enjoyed our stay. perfectly located with in walking distance of all the great attractions and dinning . The staff want your stay to be perfect and Christine, even gave us to bottle of really nice red wine to enjoy in our room. The Rooms were kept perfectly, the grounds are kept the same way. We really enjoyed our stay and gladly recommended it to the anyone who wants an enjoyable stay while visiting Monterey

Great location and easy parking, friendly welcoming staff, nicely decorated, clean facility, spacious rooms, walking distance to everything. Great price! Highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

This is long overdue! My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Wave Street Inn. The rooms are stylish and beautifully updated. The staff was truly wonderful and went above and beyond. This hotel is very conveniently located too. I cannot recommend enough. The Wave Street Inn is fantastic a true gem!

Perfect place to stay when visiting Monterey Bay Aquarium. It’s just one block away from Cannery Row so within walking distance to the aquarium but also far enough from all the chattering people walking around. The recently renovated room was nicely done. Overall a very nice place to stay when visiting the area

Every staff member was really friendly. hotel had the amenities we needed. We didn't spend much time in the room but it was very comfortable. The location was what made it for us, we were a short walk from all the sights and plenty of restaurants.

The Wave Street Inn was a very pleasant surprise. The rooms were nicely decorated & clean with a modern feel. The outside common area on the second were very nice & had the weather been better we would have utilized them. I would recommend this to friends & coworkers who want to visit Monterey. Close to the restaurants & aquarium

Perfect spot to explore Monterey and Carmel. Walking distance to Cannery row, fisherman's wharf and many great bars and restaurants. Room was VERY clean bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and plenty of underground parking was a bonus. There is a communal area with two fire pits.
